With THE LAST VOYAGE OF DEMETER, horror virtuoso André Øvredal stages one of the scariest chapters from Bram Stoker's novel "Dracula". While transporting an unusual cargo from the Carpathians to London, the crew of the merchant ship Demeter is haunted by a presence on board that is as mysterious as it is gruesome.
Shortly after the beginning of the dangerous voyage, the crew of the Demeter is struck by very unusual events. The animals on board are gradually found lifeless, and every night crew members disappear seemingly without a trace. When the schooner finally reaches the coast of England, it is only a charred and decayed wreck. There is no trace of the crew ...
